The Magic in the Castle:

Harry Potter was a lonely orphan boy who found out he was a wizard at the age of 11. He grew up right in front of our eyes on the pages of the books and then again on the big screens. As millions of people young and old shared his life with each other they also grew to love his friends, teachers, home, and his world. Now the Harry Potter franchise has become more than that. It has become a way of life for some, a comfort for others, and a symbol to connect with for all that grew up with the boy who lived under the stairs.

Over the past 17 years fans all over theworld have come together and set their differences aside, much like the houses did in the final battle fo Hogwarts, in order to celebrate their appreciation and love of this series. It has brought people togehter quickly as technology advanced thorugh the years. Now, fans from all corns of the globe have become the best of friends and it is all thanks to this one story. They share all kinds of things with each other and all Potterheads around the world: fanfiction, fanart, Facebook pages, jokes, Quidditch(a magical sport), quizzes, and even their personal lives.

All Potterheads want is to meet, bond and unite with others who share their passion for this wizarding world and all the characters they fell in love with. I am no different and this page is just one of the many that showcase this fantastic world, series, and culture.

The Woman behind the Magic:

The woman we have to thank for creating this part of our lives is on that grew up in a creative mindset, is regarded as a queen by her loving Potterheads and is named Joanne K. Rowling (J.K. Rowling for short). She had always loved writing, but had never been as excited as she was when she was writing this story.

She says that the idea for the series that we all love "fell into her head" while on a train back to London while taking a break form apartment searching. She recalls being "too shy to ask anyone for a pen [not having one herself]," and using the entire four hour train ride to create the story in her head. Upon arriving home that night she began writing the Philosopher's Stone (the first books original name).

She was very much involved in the creation of the movies and also actively pushed to continue on the 'magical World" journey that her fans so desperately craved after the final movie premiered. She wrote a few spin-off books that were created as text-books used by the characters in the series. J.K. Rowling has always tried to bring joy to the hearts of her fans and has always been eager to please. She has also chosen to write a dofferent kind of book now that her beloved Harry Potter is over and that book released sometime last year in 2013.

You may think it is a bit out of hand but, Potterheads around the world see her as eing their best friend, savior, and queen. To us, this world is real and she is the one that made it happen.
